Eleven positions were available (with a further 2 to be co-opted by the new committee in due course). Thank you to all who attended, voted, all the nominees and congratulations to all members in the new commitee.

First i would like to congratulate for the website, which i believe is a big step in getting the younger generation to come and approach the centre and give their views and opinion.
As for the election i believe it went very well and i really believe this will be a new era for Memon Centre and INSHAALLAH the massage of the new committee will be delivered more efficiently with this website.
Congratulation to the new committee and its members as well has the old committee members as without them Memon Centre wouldn't be where it is today.

Second I'd like to point out that this is not actually a website but a blog. Two different things.
Third I want to ask how you plan on attracting the memon kids using this site?
Don't get me wrong. It is a good idea and is a step forward but you have to have it planned out.
I have just been elected to the new committee and would like to thank all that attended the AGM for the faith and trust that they have put in us to carry the work of the Memon Community forward.
IN reply to the last comment about attracting kids to the centre, we would welcome ideas and suggestions as well as support from the Memons in the city. The main aspect of the support would be to bring your kids to the centre on Friday evenings. You can then ask your kids what they would like to see in the centre.
The answers you get from your kids need to be relayed to the committee and we will endeavour to do our best to fulfill these requirements withing reasonalbe bounds.

Ideas to attract the youths must be compiled rather urgently as they are our future.
By this I mean you have 2 pool tables. Only 1 works.
2 american pool tables. Only 1 just about works.
2 table football tables. Only 1 works.
There is only 1 table tennis so some people usually have to sit there for quite a while before they get to play.
Then the table hockey doesn't work at all and neither do any of the game machines that are sitting in the corner of the hall.
I really think that if the above is repaired and if possible get one or two new games then a lot of the kids will return to the memon centre.

Yes there is a separate ladies committee. We just haven't got round to publish their names on the website yet.
